Signpost is a leading online advertising startup that connects local businesses with new customers. Some people say that we are creating the Google AdSense of local commerce, and to that extent currently power monetization campaigns for over 1,200 local publishers that range from mobile apps to directory services to daily deals sites. We believe we’re creating an efficient advertising tool that will change the $20B local advertising industry as we know it.
Signpost is funded by Google Ventures, Spark Capital (Foursquare, Twitter, Tumblr) and a rockstar group of angel investors including Jason Calacanis (TWIST), Jack Herrick (e-how) and Thomas Lehrman (Gerson Lehrman). You’ll have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of system and software architecture, feature design and implementation. We’re a young start-up with a small, but growing team. Responsibilities
Develop, design and maintain Signpost’s core systems, services and public APIs
Participate in all aspects of the software development life-cycle
Maintain robust, highly reliable and scalable production applications
Experience
1+ years Ruby on Rails Experience
Must have strong ability to integrate software with multiple partners through feeds and APIs
Proficient in SQL (Preferably PostgreSQL)
Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment
Ability to work in New York City full-time
