Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products and operations processes and to verify or validate compliance with Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements, or government regulations. Investigates to determine root cause of nonconformance to products or processes. Assesses impact or health of quality relative to the business system or value stream. Interfaces with company employees, suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements. Initiates, coordinates or analyzes quality-related data from production or service activities. Determines or assigns actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution. Develops quality plans, configuration reports, software media, material review records.

Apply knowledge of investigative processes, quality procedures, engineering requirements, and manufacturing processes to resolve nonconformances of products and processes to engineering requirements and specifications. Apply knowledge of quality procedures, engineering requirements, and manufacturing processes to participate in the review of product nonconformances and to negotiate the disposition of their concurrence. Ability to determine the root cause for nonconformance of products and processes. Ability to determine responsibility, negotiate concurrence, obtain commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritize quality activities, and ensure problem resolution.

Requires knowledge of ISO-9001:2000, AS-9100, Lean Manufacturing, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Key Product Characteristics, Process Flow Charts, and detailed work instructions as well as working knowledge of First/Last article inspections. Reviews supplier data and ensures that it is complete and accurate. Interprets engineering drawings and specifications, customer and company quality requirements to ensure compliance with the customer expectations. Applicant needs strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively establish positive working relationships with various operational groups, all levels of employees, suppliers, and customers. Must have the ability to accommodate 25% travel.

Bachelor's Degree preferred
