                      Join Northrop Grumman and be a part of a team that supports the US Navy’s most complex weapon system. We are searching for an Aegis Test Engineers to support our NSWCDD customer in Dahlgren, Virginia.

                      The position requires in-depth and current knowledge of Aegis Combat System and operations. The candidate will act as a software test engineer and support a test team to perform software performance verification and integration, data analysis, and certification. Candidate must have experience in current Aegis Combat Systems operations with specific emphasis in the area of SPY-1 Radar operations and data analysis. Knowledge and experience in BMD baselines is a plus. The home office is located at Dahlgren, Va but testing and support can be conducted in Wallops Island, Va., Moorestown, NJ. and aboard US Navy ships home ported around the world and at sea . The position includes software test execution and data analysis, researching specifications and evaluation of test and analysis results.

                      Duties include :
                      Support test team
                      Support data analysis
                      Develop and update test articles, test plans, data analysis documents, review weapon specifications.
                      Support shipboard installations and testing. (inport and at-sea)
                      Support the development or maintenance of integration plans, schedules and reports delivered to the customer.
                      Work closely with IPTs and test teams to provide technical assessments and make recommendations of solutions
                      Must exhibit a positive attitude, a high level of initiative, and must enjoy the challenge of bringing part of a fluid, high tempo, milestone driven organization.
                      Travel requirements – average up to 25%
                      Basic Qualifications:
                      • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of testing experience.
                      • US citizenship; active Secret clearance
                      • Served aboard Aegis ship with recent systems and operations experience.
                      • Prior experience in Aegis data analysis
                      • Experience with combat systems and radar systems

                      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

                      Preferred Qualifications:
                      • Enlisted Fire Controllman or Operational Specialists are ideal candidates.
                      • T&E backgrounds in other platforms is a plus
