The incumbent of the position performs technical monitoring and administration of Herbert C. Hoover Building (HCHB) contracts for janitorial services, landscaping, food services, trash removal, and pest control. In addition, the incumbent assists with the coordination of meetings and events in the HCHB auditorium, lobby, and joint use conference rooms.
To qualify at the Band II level, you must also possess at least 1 year specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-7 OR equivalent pay band in the Federal service). Specialized experience is defined as managing facilities contracts such as landscaping, janitorial, trash, cafeteria, janitorial and pest control for commercial buildings that exceed 500,000 gross square feet; experience handling conference room reservations, sets-ups and support for commercial buildings that exceed 500,000 gross square feet; experience conducting internal material inspections to identify and log building defects visible to general occupants for commercial buildings that exceed 500,000 gross square feet.
To qualify at the Band III level, you must also possess at least 1 year specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9 OR equivalent pay band in the Federal service). Specialized experience is defined as experience with managing facilities contracts such as landscaping, janitorial, trash, recycling, cafeteria, janitorial and pest control for commercial buildings that exceed 500,000 gross square feet; experience handling conference room reservations, set-ups and support for commercial buildings that exceed 500,000 gross square feet; experience conducting internal material inspections to identify and log building defects visible to general occupants for commercial buildings that exceed 500,000 gross square feet; experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook; and the ability to setup and troubleshoot LCD projector and associated computer equipment.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:
Band II - master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Band III - Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related.
