SAIC has an opportunity for a Biometrics & Forensics Trainer to support USSCOM in Ft. Bragg, N.C.

**This position is contingent on contract award expected late February 2012.
The selected candidate will provide biometrics and forensics training support to the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). Develop training plans and packages. Deliver informal and formal training. Responsible for maintenance, software/hardware upgrades, and identification and resolution of network connectivity issues of training equipment.

Functional Responsibilities::

Responsible for maintenance, software/hardware upgrades, and identification and resolution of network connectivity issues of training equipment. Responsibilities also include researching, evaluating, and recommending technologies and techniques to improve support to the end user; creating and maintaining documentation for all processes and procedures; conducting briefings and training for supported end users.
Participate as SMEs in Biometrics/Exploitation conferences and meetings within the USG, Foreign and Inter-Agency Partners.
Upon customer’s request obtain and maintain currency of the appropriate level Information Assurance certification, dependent upon level of network access/permissions, in accordance with DoDD 8570.01.
OCONUS Travel to Hazardous Duty Areas is required.
May be required to carry a weapon when supporting OCONUS work.
CONUS Travel required.
May be required to carry a weapon when supporting OCONUS work.

Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related disciplines is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Top Secret with SSBI that can be upgraded to TS/SCI
  • 10 years of directly-related experience.
  • Possess current Industry certifications (e.g., DCITA, IEEE, EnCE, CCE, ACE, Cisco (Associate, Professional), Microsoft (MCITP), etc.)
  • ITIL (v3) Foundation certification (for designated key positions on the Task Order)Must be able to formally present materials in understandable, intelligible formats; in both stand-up instruction and written arrangements.
  • Minimum 12 months Microsoft Windows systems administration experience and must be able to demonstrate the basic ability to troubleshooting hardware, networking, and SQL Server and Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to function as a member of a team while also capable of operation alone with little to no supervision or constant guidance.
  • Strong background in all source intelligence products.
  • The ability to carry weight up to 40 pounds over uneven terrain in a harsh environment.
Desired Experience:
2 years relevant experience working with Special Operations for USSOCOM or a Special Mission Unit.
Graduation from the U.S. Army Instructor Training Course (ITC) or equivalent is a plus, as well as experience with current and emerging training technology
