The Human Services Specialist II/Legal Technical Writer is responsible for researching and updating training and instructional materials for new and experienced attorneys working for the Bureau of Collections (Child Support Recovery Unit). This position also assists with legal research and policy research as requested by Attorney General's office.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently, but at the same time be accountable to the team. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and oral and written communication skills are also necessary to be successful in this position. The candidate will also have the ability to perform in depth legal research with very little supervision, the ability to analyze numerous and sometimes conflicting legal resources and reduce the information to short summaries.
Bachelor's degree with emphasis in paralegal studies or a bachelor's degree with paralegal certificate and two years' experience that includes conducting legal research and analyzing resources, and/or writing technical documentation. A law degree will substitute for experience.

- Experience that demonstrates knowledge of federal regulations and state law concerning child support.
- Experience with Westlaw or similar database.
Minimum $33,676; commensurate with qualifications
