Senior Human Resource Representative
Performs a variety of human resources responsibilities that may include hiring decisions, EEO reporting, benefits and compensation administration and any other Human Resources related activities. Fully competent professional; possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments. Usually works with minimum supervision, conferring with superior on unusual matters.
Active member and participant on Management Team
Works closely with/liaison with Payroll, Compensation, and Benefits Departments (Benefit Service Center)
Counsels and assists, and a resource for managers regarding Performance Reviews/Talent Management
Workers Compensation Claim processing and reviews/Active Safety Committee member/Incident Investigation/Case Management
May make decisions on hiring of entry level clerical and production employees.
Drafts EEO reports.
Helps develop or modify training programs.
Investigates and resolves straightforward benefit claims.
Investigates and drafts grievance replies.
Counsels managers on how to handle personnel problems.
May perform duties involving employee communications, such as pre-employment screening, responding to routine questions on human resource policies and procedures, identifying potential issues and grievances, etc.
Maintains and distributes current employee information, policy and procedure manuals and other communications.
May conduct and summarize internal and external surveys to gather information for policy development and planning.
- Generally requires a Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of related professional human resource experience.
- Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish a plus.
- Computer skills/knowledge: Microsoft Word/Excel, Outlook, Peoplesoft/HCM,
