The Application Support Analyst will be responsible for managing the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of Global Client Access (GCA) Technology Early Detection. Early Detection function consists of tools & automation, proactive monitoring, health checks, training, and knowledge management of GCA applications and infrastructure. The GCA Early Detection lead will provide oversight and leadership to ensure each GCA Production Operations (Prod Ops) team is adopting, standardizing, and executing tool deployments, monitoring, health checks, and knowledge management. Additional responsibilities include proactive identification and adoption of best practices, implementation of new processes and disciplines, and management of training activities. The role will provide strategic direction and tactical oversight of GCA early detection tools, deployments, standardizations, and CISP (continuous improvement service program). The GCA Early Detection lead will report to the Executive Director of GCA Production Operations. The Early Detection lead will partner and drive strategy, goals, and objectives with Production Operations, AD, and Infrastructure teams.

The objectives of the Early Detection program/function are:
  • Prevent and reduce client impacting incidents
  • Reduce MTTR of client impacting incidents
  • Proactively identify early detection gaps, risks, and remediation plans
  • Drive tool & automation and process standardization across GCA platforms for early detection
  • Set strategic direction and drive continuous improvements of early detection
  • Oversee early detection requirements, budget, and resource planning
  • Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
  • Lead and oversee GCA Tech Early Detection strategy; Partner with senior management, Prod Ops managers, AD, and infrastructure teams to drive early detection goals and objectives
  • Drive and champion GCA Tech Early Detection CISP (continuous improvement service program)
  • Indentify and lead the execution of early detection tool automation, standardization, requirements, and execution
  • Develop and deploy early detection performance management scorecards for each Prod Ops team/function
  • Selecting, piloting, and leveraging JPMC systems monitoring tools
  • Audit, assess, and govern monitoring and health check execution, standardization, and knowledge management
  • Drive and perform provide training to Prod Ops teams on new monitoring and health check tools and processes
  • Ensures the early detection project activities are completed within established time and budget
  • Resolves high level conflicts or issues by making decisions and/or escalation to senior management as required
  • Provide leadership and oversight to the continuous improvements and standardization of early detection knowledge management and run book updates
  • Ensures Prod Ops teams have adequate risk & compliance controls for monitoring and health checks
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with JPMC technology teams and business partners to indentify tool & automation and process improvement opportunities
  • Collaborates with JPMC technology teams and business partners to understand application functions and related downstream processing components
  • Participates in post incident reviews for client impacting incidents to identify early detection gaps and improvement actions
  • Partner with Change Management and Release Managers to gain understanding of scheduled changes in order to ensure adequate monitoring and health checks are ready prior to releases
  • Assists in translating business requirements into proposed IT services & solutions
  • Excellent prioritization, organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent senior management presentation skills which include developing PowerPoint presentations
  • Influence and negotiation skills
  • Minimum of 7 years technology operations background
  • Minimum 5 years experience with monitoring tools & automation
  • Minimum 5 years experience designing & implementing proactive monitoring and health checks
  • Knowledge (documentation) management experience
  • Ability to influence and lead technical conversations with varied IT support groups
  • Ability to align IT service offerings with business strategies, goals, and objectives
  • Ability to influence key business stakeholders on IT agenda, goals, and objectives
  • Ability to translate business requirements into proposed IT services & solutions
  • Solid project management skills, especially in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to forecast IT Services based on business requirements and demand
