The purpose of this position is to serve as the supply chain business expert in the area of supply chain systems and supplier interaction associated with VMI and EDI programs. The selected candidate must possess both a thorough understanding of supply chain as well as exceptional knowledge of the systems deployed throughout the Ahold network. The role would work in conjunction with Ahold Information Services (AIS) to ensure the ongoing maintenance of systems and implementation of new technology.
The selected candidate will be expected to provide technical insight and support to help drive vendor efficiency & innovation programs. This includes assisting with development, performing testing and aiding in the deployment of such programs. They will also provide technical support with the DSD receiving processes - including Ahold’s DSD receiving method migration effort.
This position is required to stay engaged in industry trends and technology to assist in decisions around leveraging all capabilities available as well as work with external partners to expanded usage of EDI and alternative data interactions.
The incumbent in this position will serve as the Ahold USA business lead regarding the implementation and usage of EDI and UCS (Uniform Communication Standards) communications and standards as well as serve as the business and system coordinator for the AUSA Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) system, ensure SOP's and KPI's are communicated and understood by all parties, and monitor results measuring service and inventory levels.
This position also serves as the Ahold USA business lead and coordinator for the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) system and ensures that all AUSA data attributes agree with supplier information to improve Supply Chain efficiencies. The incumbent will be responsible for analyzing and resolving any outstanding vendor payment reconciliations involving EDI invoices through the use of PROMPT (Payment Reconciliation of Matched Purchase order Transactions).
This position is responsible for protecting sensitive customer, associate and company information by maintaining an understanding of company information security practices and controls; adhering to and enforcing information security policies; ensuring the proper use of sensitive information, including preventing inappropriate system access; ensuring that vendors for whom the incumbent is responsible adhere to Ahold policies; and reporting policy violations or information security breaches.
The incumbent in this position will be responsible for maintaining his or her business unit’s record of sensitive customer, associate or company information; assigning appropriate data classifications; approving new instances of storage or use of sensitive information; and resolving any issues related to storage, use, or method of protection. To be fully proficient in this role, a candidate should possess the following:
5-7 years experience in a related field to include a thorough knowledge of distribution, procurement and operations along with an extremely strong systems background
Highly motivated, independent performer; able to set own priorities in concert with overall company goals and strategy
