Corporate Relations - Claims Communications

Corporate Relations (CR) plays a vital role in Allstate's success. This individual will report to the Corporate Relations Client Manager for the Claims Communications Team. The team is responsible for:

Engaging home office and field Claim leaders/employees around Company and Protection business goals

Helping drive behavior change to help the Claim organization meet its strategic objectives, specifically, creating a culture centric-culture

Managing and improving Allstate's reputation via proactively identifying and mitigating emerging issues

Strengthening relationships with Agency Owners by supporting and encouraging their involvement in the claims process

Showcasing the important role Claims plays in achieving company business results with key internal stakeholders and the media

Providing ongoing and timely communication support and counsel to client

The individual will be responsible for:
Serving as the primary gatekeeper for distributing claims communications to internal and field audiences

Creating an assortment of business, technical and feature communications for print and online

Compiling and analyzing various metrics to gauge effectiveness of communication efforts and to identify new and more effective tactics

Publishing content to various web sites through an internal content management system

Providing project management support on local and countrywide communication projects

Integrating and collaborating with home office, field, and media team partners on proactive and reactive stories/issues

Mining and pitching story ideas to internal media and enterprise communication partners


The successful candidate will have a minimum of


years of experience in a corporate communications or business environment, and possess a business acumen and strong writing skills. In addition, the candidate must:

  • Be proficient to exceptional in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Be a creative thinker and problem-solver
  • Be able to take technical and complex subject matter and turn it into concise, easy-to-read communications for a broad spectrum of audiences
  • Have a familiarity with social media as a business communication tool
  • Work well with others in a team environment
  • Be able to produce results in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
A bachelor's degree
