Description
XML conversion tasks for the IOS XR team. Knowledge of FrameMaker an absolute must. Familiarity with content management systems to understand check-in/checkout/version control. Knowledge of XML / DITA concepts, so that Frame content can be broken into XML types is useful. XML training for Cisco application will be provided. High-level understanding of router operations is useful (what does it mean to configure or provision a router), as well as basic networking concepts. Specifically the IOS XR Interface Configuration Guide will migrate to XML.
One role will be to support the Metro Ethernet routers. This effort is primarily software routing configuration using Cisco IOS. Command reference, configuration guides, release notes. Documentation bug fixes, republishing updates.
Support the Cisco 7600 router documentation. The Cisco 7600 runs Cisco IOS software. I’d hope for the same set of skills in routers, routing technology, provisioning, etc., but at a higher degree of proficiency as in the first request. Or a really fast learner. This project will work directly with Bangalore documentation team.
