We are seeking a full time Behavioral Specialists to join our team working with the Mentally Retarded/Developmentally Disabled Population. The location for this position is: West Bronx and Coop City.
Responsibilities:
? Participate in the development review and necessary revision of each resident?s individual habilitation plan.
? Develops behavioral interventions.
? Evaluates resident?s needs and assess on a continual basis and reports to IDT.
? Designs and implements habilitation program plans prioritized by IDT.
? Evaluates resident?s progress in goals plans on an ongoing basis and reports to IDT.
? Maintains appropriate records of all behavioral goals and services.
? Administer psychological behavioral test as appropriate.
? Contribute to plan of correction from NYS.
? Implement and monitor plan of correction from NYS.
? Advice and review incidents related to consumers.
? Participates in all designated communities as appropriate.
? Trains direct care staff managers and other clinicians on behavior techniques implementation of goals, crisis intervention techniques and procedures and implementation of habilitation program plans.
? Responsible to ensure integration of behavioral programs with the day program.
Requirements:
? Masters Degree in Psychology.
? Two years related experience.
? Knowledge of MR/DD Population preferred.
? Ability to administer testing instruments required and training in crisis intervention techniques preferred.
