This communications position is primarily aligned against the Banking and Credit marketing teams in the U.S. and across international regions.
The Banking and Credit marketing teams work with integrated teams of Bankers and specialists in Capital Advisory and Client Service to create exclusive, very high-end experiences to clients and prospects. The Senior Editor will serve as the main point of contact in Creative Services for these marketing teams and provide editorial and project management support for all materials, including copy editing, proofreading, tracking, regular status meetings and ongoing, timely updates.
The Senior Editor is responsible for understanding the J.P. Morgan Private Bank and the experience it offers clients and using these insights to help develop effective marketing communications.
He or she is also responsible for managing the marketing relationship and providing project management support for all materials related to Regions & Segments.
This position requires close collaboration with key business partners, including:
Regional segment managers (Private Bank, Private Wealth Management)
Front office (Bankers, Investors, Capital Advisors, Wealth Advisors, Trust Officers)
Acting as the primary point of contact between the marketing strategy team and Creative Services
Working with Creative and Communications Directors and Studio Manager to ensure effective and efficient management and tracking of all projects.
Editing materials and communications in multiple media and formats to ensure they are aligned with original objectives and reflect the clear, straight forward manner that is consistent with the J.P. Morgan Private Bank voice
Ensuring adherence to the firm's editorial style guide and assisting with the ongoing development of the style guide
Working with all stakeholders to reach agreement on final copy
Ensuring accuracy of information and proofreading before material is circulated for review and goes to press
Maintaining editorial files, schedules and tracks compliance approval for each project
Running weekly partner status meetings and maintains list of all current and upcoming projects
Meeting daily with Studio Manager and Creative Services team to review all work in studio and ensure timely delivery on all projects
10 to 15years of experience
Proven editing ability: solid working knowledge of grammar, syntax, punctuation and ability to edit for clarity of communication, logical flow and appropriate tone for the UHNW and HNW segments we serve
Ability to write well; though editing is key skill, at times writing and/or rewriting may be required
Familiarity with different media formats for distribution of content, through web or print or personal presentation
Diplomacy to hear all sides and help reconcile potentially differing points of view
Solid project management and time management skills;
ability to manage multiple projects with concurrent deadlines
Strong relationship management skills; ability to lead a project team and develop solid working partnerships with peers, colleagues and senior management
Ability to make decisions and drive to the right conclusions and outcomes with partners
Ability to be flexible and work well in a continuously changing environment
Able to work as part of a team yet speak with authority and advocate Creative Services point of view
Great attitude, able to see opportunities in new challenges
