DuPont’s Global Headquarters located in Wilmington DE has a Vendor Manager position available. This is a highly visible, key role within the HR Shared Services Team. This Position will require a person of vision, integrity and commitment, as well as substantial leadership and influencing experience, maturity and judgment.

This vendor manager role in Human Resources will be responsible for managing 10-15 vendors in the Benefits area as well as undertaking vendor-related project work. The successful incumbent will have or develop an in-depth understanding of the services being provided by these vendors and how these add value to DuPont. As a vendor manager, they will be responsible for managing the vendors’ performance for the DuPont Companies and will work closely with personnel including the Benefits team who oversee day to day delivery of benefits services through these vendors as well as Sourcing, Finance and Legal. Upon assuming this role, the incumbent will play a significant role in vendor-related projects for a period of between 6-18 months, at which point the incumbent will transition into the vendor management responsibilities on a full time basis. At times going forward, the incumbent will continue to be involved in project work as it relates to implementing new services or service changes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work with vendor(s) to build and maintain healthy sustainable business relationships and alliances through communication, information sharing and active partnering

Effectively understands interrelationship between processes, technologies, and people to create mutually beneficial opportunities for DuPont and the vendor(s)

Proactively works with vendor(s) to drive improvements that result in cost reduction, productivity and service enhancements, while focusing on Company strategies and the broader business context

Establish and lead vendor performance program that includes vendor metrics, key performance indicators and analysis, scorecards and formal business reviews.

Proactively work with vendors and DuPont personnel to assess and manage impact of business decisions, in advance, on stakeholders such as participants, Corporate functions in DuPont, government agencies and the external community

Effectively uses contract and requirement language in management of vendor relationship and vendor performance; knows limitations of contracts and creatively works to solution/solve needs not addressed in contracts

Ensures service/product requirement documentation is maintained and changes are updated in a timely way through appropriate processes

Develops, implements, and drives compliance of DuPont vendor management, sourcing, change request and financial processes in this work

Supports internal and external audit of vendor and their services, while ensuring control environment meets our standards

Works with Legal, Sourcing, Finance and HR personnel to address liability, financial & operational risk and impacts

Track Company spend on each vendor against established budget and manage financial aspects of requisitions/commitment

Works with DuPont Sourcing personnel to negotiate and determine supplier selection

Establish and drive process to onboard new suppliers and improve supplier consolidation

Undertake vendor-related project responsibilities for the first 6-18 months, and on an ad-hoc basis as needed going forward

Qualifications

In order to be qualified for this role, you

must possess

the following:
5+ years’ experience in Contract administration/management experience

Experience in benefits work is strongly preferred

Bachelor’s Degree

The following skill sets are

preferred

by the business unit:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business management, Human Resources management, Financial management, or other related field is preferred
