The Exercise Laboratory RN functions within the framework of the FAHC standards of patient care by serving as an integral member of the Cardiac Exercise Laboratory team involved in all aspects of exercise procedures. S/he performs exercise testing on adult and pediatric patient populations. Exercise Laboratory RN uses advanced cardiovascular knowledge and skills to manage situations and problems that are inherent to cardiac exercise studies. When needed, assists with other semi-invasive procedures in department. S/he demonstrates leadership qualities in the areas of interpersonal communication, quality assurance, scheduling, education and data assessment. S/he assists with research, information management and equipment maintenance.
Registered Nurse licensed in Vermont. Current ACLS certification.
Critical care experience required. Previous experience in cardiology required. Previous experience with Intravenous placement required.
This position does require traveling between two locations during the day, reliable transportation is a must.
Schedule is (4) 9 hour days from 0700 – 1630
No block scheduling.
All staff work at the inpatient stress lab and the outpatient cardiology clinic
On occasion, staff are required to work split days at both sites.
Rotating On call from 0700 – 1900 weekends and holidays
Required to train other professionals
