TITLE: Graphic Designer LOCATION: Las Vegas, Nevada TYPE: Full-Time CANDIDATE MUST BE A RESIDENT OF THE LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, AREA Yellowbird Publishing LLC is a growing publishing and Internet marketing company with a wide portfolio of services and products that range from books, marketing tools, software, online coaching, to subscription services. Summary: We have a terrific immediate opening in our Las Vegas office for a Graphic Designer. This talented and motivated individual will work on new and ongoing graphic and web design projects to help exceed our company goals. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary, and the resident must be based in or near Las Vegas, Nevada.
The ideal candidate for this role has a passion for graphic arts, designing relevant print and web designs that drive results, create corporate websites, developing flexible and scalable web templates, and collaborating in cross-functional teams that involve Sales, Customer Support, Marketing, Advertising, Ecommerce, Product Development, and Media Buying. The Graphic Designer must have a natural interest in utilizing his or her skills in graphic design to drive product sales and meet marketing objectives. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in customer usability considerations for print and web design. He or she will be required to learn and apply these considerations in his/her designs to help increase customer purchase behavior.
The Graphic Designer is a results-driven and adaptable individual who is able to meet deadlines/specs, and operate in positive, fast-paced, collaborative, team environment. Responsibilities: Design print collateral, online ads, ad banners, book covers, book illustrations, and other related graphic design projects. Design and develop scalable layouts, templates, landing pages, and other web page mockups. Create graphic mock up requests for internal departments as needed.
Design multiple versions of designs for performance testing purposes. Optimize templates, websites, banners, and landing pages based on conversion performance and fast viewing. Design templates and proofs for e-mail and auto-responder campaigns. Maintain internal documentation and archives for designs and configurations.
Work closely and communicate with internal teams to ensure design requirements are understood, design objectives are met, and execution is efficient. Effectively prioritize projects to meet deadlines. Requirements: Expert skills with Adobe Creative Suite including Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator. Must be able to manage multiple design projects at once and effectively prioritize projects to meet established deadlines.
Strong knowledge of web page graphic optimizations, web standards and usability principles for the web. Strong portfolio that demonstrates graphic talent, experience in print / online / banner / advertising. Experience with creative marketing assets for Internet marketing. Experience within a direct to consumer ecommerce environment.
Ability to manage a design request from concept development through execution of web site, html e-mail, and online banner art. Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience required. 1+ years of experience designing dynamic, transactional websites. Experience designing sales conversion-driven websites and ads a plus.
