The Cisco on Cisco initiative is gaining momentum in SSVPG. The SAVBU Adopter Team is working closely with multiple internal BU’s on the adoption of UCS servers in the next few quarters. To facilitate this growth, the SAVBU Adopter Team is looking for an experienced Test Development Engineer (TDE). This successful TDE will work directly with other internal BU’s, to enable the adoption of UCS servers, and drive process and execution excellence to simplify the process and improve the adopter BU experience.
A successful candidate must thrive in a high energy, fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, perform in both technical and project management roles, and be able to define, develop, manage, and execute Test Strategies while balancing supply chain needs.

Candidate must be self-directed, able to work under minimal supervision, and must be able work towards quarterly goals and objectives. Work is reviewed and measured based on attainment of overall project objectives and ability to meet project metrics.

High Level Responsibilities:
Focal point for all UCS Adopters NPI product development to insure Autotest methodologies are applied to New Product Development and Launches.
Review and influence Adopter BU’s MRD, 95 Specs, and project plans, test requirements to align the test development and deployment.
Define and execute test strategies. Must be able to lead cross-functional teams of Adopter BU. Provide Test Process Guidance to BU TDEs, SW and Program Teams.
Provide complete test development with all UCS servers for Adopter BU with legacy as well as 3rd Party HW, SW and OS requirements, scripting, test equipment deployment, interface with and train CM and manage Mfg Test operations.
Prepare Test Plans, Procedure, scripts and CIPs for Adopter BU.
Represent Adopter interests and act as negotiator/focal point with SAVBU Product Ops Test Teams, SAVTG Engineering and SAVTG Diagnostics Teams.
Key Interfaces: SAVBU and Adopter BU: TDE, GMO, NPPM, SCPM, PE, CDO HW/SW, PLPM, GSM
Development testing and prioritize the launches according Adopter NPI schedules. Requires ability to perform in-depth diagnostics & test coverage analysis.
Actively seeks and incorporates best practices and results from post-project assessments into new products

Contribute and improve the consolidated Adopter playbook (EDCS869379) and Test Development Guidelines.

Skill Requirements
Subject Matter Expert in All NPI and DF Autotest processes and tools
Subject Matter Expert in Klemtest Scripting Languages
Working with VMware, Windows Server, Operating Systems is desirable.

Exceptional communication skills, laterally among BUs and to executive leadership
Strong Cross functional team player.
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Requires BSEE, BSCE, MSEE degree or similar. MS and/or MBA degree desired.
8+ years manufacturing experience
