Job Description: Be part of a world-class team that will develop and deliver software and services across multiple Intel Architecture devices. We are currently looking for an experienced Digital Video Engineer, who has a solid awareness of RF and MPEG over IP products, services and systems that are currently used throughout our industry.

In this position you will be responsible for:
Maintain inventory audit of all equipment in the video network architecture.

Manage the planning and fulfillment of equipment and accessory orders.

Power monitoring / budgeting, and deployment planning.

Continuous industry research related to deployed devices, keeping abreast of, evaluating, and recommending the order of next generation video equipment.

Mentoring and guidance to junior video engineers.

This position is responsible for daily operations and troubleshooting of technical issues including but not limited to:

Installation and configuration of a variety of equipment from manufactures including but not limited to: Motorola, Cisco, Harmonic, RGB Networks, Sencore, Bridge Technologies and other manufacturers.

Perform routine maintenance on a variety of satellite receivers, transport stream decoders, live real-time encoders, transcoders, video routing and switching systems, IP video streamers and broadcast servers.

Maintain all systems to ensure daily reliability.

Conduct scheduled system sweeps and performance measurements.

Perform hardware repair/replacement for all installed equipment.

Interface with facilities groups for troubleshooting and support of all facilities related issues, i.e. electrical, HVAC and base core and shell building issues.

Function effectively in a collaborative environment, working with Development and QA Engineering.

Update network drawings as the network evolves.

Maintain documentation and perform other administrative responsibilities, such as attend meetings and provide updates on projects, support issues and technical changes or fixes.

Participate in On-Call 7x24 rotation.

You must possess the following minimum qualifications to be considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar technical based discipline. Preferred would be a MS or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar technical based discipline.

In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 7 years experience in the below minimum skill sets is required.

5+ years experience in the following areas:
oHeadend Operations field in CATV or Network broadcast engineering.

oMaintaining complex Headends, and be familiar with both RF and MPEG over IP, including the proficient use of using RF and IP analyzers, meters, and MPEG protocol analyzers.

oInstallation and maintenance of transport technologies including coax, fiber, and satellite.

oInstallation and maintenance of broadcast equipment, transcoding systems, digital video encoding systems and maintenance practices

Preferred qualifications:
7+ years experience in the above skillsets

Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (examples: NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E)
