About Barnes-Jewish Hospital
Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top 10 hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. About the Department
The Marketing team enhances the brand of Barnes-Jewish Hospital as a national leader in medicine, in partnership with our physician partners from Washington University School of Medicine, through advertising, strategic partnerships, web development and community publications. The team works strategically to align marketing objectives with the hospital's priorities for optimal growth.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing annual strategic organizational marketing plans to build the Barnes-Jewish Hospital brand and business. This position develops and executes annual web internet and intranet plan with internal communications. The Marketing Manager manages budgets to achieve desired results and is a champion for cost savings. This position also develops and manages advertising strategies and marketing research projects.
Builds plans through organized approach with clients and budget considerations
Looks for best practices and understands changing market dynamics
Directs consumer marketing efforts to effectively position hospital to primary target audience, grow consumer preference and loyalty, and achieve referral goals
Manages marketing initiatives pertaining to the hospital's ranking by national publications such as US News Best Hospitals
Coordinates and staffs Web Steering Committee activity
Utilizes e-marketing and relationship marketing strategies via the web to grow customer loyalty and generate measurable business results/transactions
Develops and manages budget, including forecasts; tracking actual vs. budgeted expenses on an ongoing basis
Works with Siteman and Washington University School of Medicine to coordinate advertising approaches
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing
Marketing experience - 8 years or more
Supervisory experience - 3 years or more
Advanced communication skills (oral and written)
Advanced Word Processing skills
Masters Degree in Business or Business Administration
Advanced Spreadsheet skills
Intermediate Presentation Software skills
