EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.

YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: The position requires five equivalent years of experience in analysis and technical management.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (i.e., M/S Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, SharePoint), excellent quantitative interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently and maintain working relationships with a variety of team members are required. Two years of experience working with government customers and agencies such as Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Defense (DoD), and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) is required. Applicants must be proficient in establishing and maintaining risk systems, possess a Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification or equivalent. Familiarity with risk tools such as ACEIT, @Risk, Crystal Ball, welcomRisk, PertMaster, Active Risk Manager is desired in addition to a working knowledge of DOE, DoD or DCMA risk standards and processes, as well as, industry best practices. The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Risk Manager will facilitate/coordinate and/or perform risk activities (e.g., risk identification, analysis, monitoring, reporting and handling) on assigned projects or programs. Understanding of system engineering processes and the ability to assess and evaluate technical, cost, and schedule impacts of risks and opportunities are essential.
