This position purpose is to develop and maintain databases used to measure and report Self-Help's activity and impact, including:
two MySQL databases that support Self-Help's direct home lending and purchased mortgage programs.
an Access database for measuring and reporting Self-Help's community impact.
an organizational data warehouse in Microsoft SQL Server that consolidates data from source systems, business lines and corporate entities to support global reporting and analysis.
Manage training of select staff in related tools such as SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SPSS and SAS. Create reporting templates and train others to do so as needed.
Where justified, consolidate or discontinue obsolete or redundant databases in concert with impacted teams.
Coordinate with database administrators and analysts on various teams to understand team-relevant issues. Translate business requirements into database design. Optimize tools and processes to increase productivity and insights. Desired Qualifications:
3 years' experience in SQL
Programming experience in .NET
Development and administration experience in MySQL and SQL Server
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
Willingness and ability to learn basic concepts around lending, financial services, and accounting.
Ability to balance multiple concurrent databases and projects. Ability to lead people with and without supervisory responsibility in a decentralized environment. Physical Requirements:
Frequently requires use of manual dexterity and repetitive motions, primarily with the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to occasionally lift and exert force of up to 10 pounds. Compensation:
