To manage the execution of multiple business-facing digital initiatives independently as well as with management, including website and mobile applications and projects. Will work closely with multiple constituents, including peers, agencies, corporate marketing, legal, business units and IT. Will have direct contact with dealers, fabricators, employees, and/or mid- to senior-level management. Must be a creative, hands-on, web-savvy team player with exceptional organizational, project management, communication and presentation skills. An ongoing passion for both marketing and enabling technologies is required.


Oversee and manage the execution of departmental business-to-business digital projects - such as website and mobile application and tool development (see the following responsibilities for Website Content Management, for example) - from start to finish, including interacting with internal and external customers about execution and timelines

Manage day-to-day relationships with agencies and vendors

Manage the tracking of projects, including costs, participation, etc., and be able to report on metrics and provide summarized results and recommendations

Directly manage - including having input into pay, hiring, evaluations and disciplinary decisions - employees responsible for managing and/or supporting business-facing digital projects


The ideal candidate must have a BS in business, marketing, journalism, English or the equivalent and/or very strong technical competencies and related work experience in managing technology-enabled projects in a marketing environment, preferably at an interactive agency or in an in-house digital department. Project management certification is desired, or at least 5 years of equivalent experience. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and an exceptional attention to detail are must haves, along with sound business acumen and the ability to work with others as part of a team. Strong knowledge of marketing technology, digital branding and marketing communications required. Ability to multi-task and work with minimum supervision. Previous supervisory experience desired. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, Photoshop and web browsers required.

PROJECT > Website Content Management

Manage the day-to-day appearance of content and conduct regular inventories on the site to determine what content is available, what needs editing and what needs to be developed

Write and edit high-quality, customer-focused information for the site when necessary

Research for fresh site content in existing and future content areas

Ensure the quality of contributed content and edit it as needed, with approval, within branding guidelines for appropriate and consistent online presentation

Manage content-change requests to the site and ensure timely updates according to established processes, schedules and editorial calendars, and in coordination with new product releases

Manage the tracking of website results, and monitor related monthly reports from agencies

Intimately understand the nuances of the site's target audiences and their business drivers, continually assess their needs and make sure the site's information and its delivery are addressing those needs

Provide creative and marketing expertise to content owners with suggestions and recommendations about appropriate content in terms of format, clarity and efficiencies across sites

Alert content owners to any discrepancies in or lack of information relevant to their products or areas of expertise

Work with Web/GUI designers and/or agencies to develop design specifications, standards and templates that will promote intuitive navigation and strengthen the Hunter Douglas brand

Recommend adaptations and solutions to the site's graphical user interfaces (GUIs), including the development of graphics, diagrams and other information tools that will enhance the usability of the site on a day-to-day basis

Be a consultative resource for questions regarding backend systems, functionality changes and enhancements related to the sites and the Internet

Develop a plan for building internal awareness of the site and communicating content management processes

Research applications and tools for expanding online offerings


Knowledge of user-centric content development, interface design and information architecture

Some HTML, including the ability to hand-code

Familiarity with the use of common languages and terms (e.g., HTML, HTML5, Flash, JavaScript, tables, frames, etc.) and sophisticated graphics development tools

Knowledge of different browser and platform constraints, and an understanding of Internet graphics optimization issues
