This is a day position, Monday through Friday. Main responsibilities: Install and maintain cable infrastructure (copper, fiber, COAX, etc.) for voice and data systems. Installs, troubleshoots and maintains various voice and data systems, such as telephone, paging, badge access, security, cable TV, and related equipment.
Education or Formal Training: (Certifications) High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree in related field or telecommunications certifications desirable, Avaya certification a plus; Current, valid Colorado driver’s license appropriate for driving for business purposes and during scheduled hours, and good DMV driving record and Current Vehicle Insurance required. May require own vehicle to travel to various remote work locations in the surrounding area.
Knowledge and Experience: Minimum 2 years installing, terminating, and testing cables, which will include various types of copper and/or fiber cable preferred. Familiar with voice and data testing equipment that includes TDR and OTDR scanners, volt meters, tone generators, and amplifiers. Avaya PBX, Voicemail, VOIP, SIP, SBC and AES and Ascom wireless system preferred.
Ability : Read floor plan/CAD drawings; customer service oriented; basic troubleshooting skills.
