This opening is for general consideration for Faculty positions within the Full Sail University Education Department. Associate Course Directors ensure excellence in teaching skills and classroom content, support Course Director’s curriculum vision and direction, and assist with lecture and administrative responsibilities as assigned. They ensure personal service to students and maintain continuing education as defined in the faculty development plan. Music Theory I
Successful completion of the course will create a solid basis for further musical understanding. The class focuses on essential topics while providing more advanced students an opportunity to review the rudiments of musical language. Topics to be covered include note identification, interval recognition, major scale construction, basic rhythmic notation and ear training. Music Theory I equips the student with the tools needed to effectively communicate fundamental musical concepts.

Education/Training
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of four years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Music

Theory or Composition. Candidates applying will be reviewed for various open teaching positions. Depending on the course level, requirements will be varied based on our Accrediting Commission (ACCSC). Skills Needed Proficiency in music technology software including Sibelius and Logic is critical. A minimum of two years' experience teaching music theory at the college level is preferred. Extensive knowledge of pedagogical techniques employed for teaching music theory (especially utilizing electronic tools) is preferred. Working knowledge of music notation and recording software is preferred. All faculty positions require excellent oral and written communication skills, passion to encourage learning, being a self-motivated team member, and the ability to help develop curriculum. Teaching positions will require campus and online teaching.
