Candidate will act as a Database Administrator within Program Support to review, evaluate, design, implement and maintain business database[s]. The DBA will identify data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process. Candidate will writes code for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures. Candidate will have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field and will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Detailed Description

Map out the conceptual design for a planned database in outline, considering both back-end organization of data and front-end accessibility for end-users
· Confirms database requirements by conferring with stakeholders, studying operations and objectives, integrating enterprise requirements, applying database concepts and functional capabilities
· Refine the logical design for translation into a specific data model. Refine the physical design to meet system storage requirements. Develop and manage policies, procedures, security, backup and recovery
· Maintains data integrity by establishing standards and monitoring performance
· Maintain installation standards of systems development and documentation
· Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing database performance and trends
· Maintains design structures by directly implementing standards and guidelines
· Collaborates with other infrastructure teams to resolve complex application performance analysis
· Communicate by phone, e-mail, and in person to inquire for further information and explain issues discovered and/or remediated while addressing service task and trouble tickets
· Knowledge of specific vendor database products such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle, SAP and MySQL
· Intermediate knowledge about server hardware infrastructure and operating systems
· Proven knowledge of formal change management and incident management processes (ITIL)
· Knowledge of scripting and database query skills
Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree and 8+ years of experience in a high demand-based, service oriented environment
· Security + certified is strongly desired
· Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) is strongly desired
· U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Security Clearance
