We also use Agile to build and deliver software for our customers. Ideal candidates are expert practitioners of Scrum, with a technical background, who are about passionate about building successful, collaborative teams through facilitation, coaching and mentoring.
While in this role, you will act as a Coach for multiple teams that are using Agile methodologies but need coaching to help them work as a high performance team. Candidates must be excellent listeners, possess outstanding facilitation and conflict-resolutions skills, and the ability to work in collaborative environments.
Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience
Must be a Certified Scrum Master with 5+ years of relevant experience and 2 years of Scrum Master experience
Experience as an Agile Coach with a successful track record of helping to implement Agile methods and techniques, experience in facilitating organizational and cultural change, and experience in the implementation and execution of Scrum in an environment where individuals are unfamiliar with the methodology.
Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle and of several software development methodologies
Experience with processes and tools supporting Agile methodologies
Experience coaching and mentoring a team(s) to their highest potential
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types
Facilitation skills in leading planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives.
Ability to understand technical issues
Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
Collaborative approach to decision-making on teams
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
Local to San Jose area
Additional Skills Desired:
Experienced software developer or software tester, especially in an Agile environment
Experience with Extreme Programming (XP), Lean Software Development and other Agile methodologies is a plus
Outstanding presentation and public speaking skills.
Experience leading organizational change management
Experience developing and growing business with new and existing accounts in a deliberate and strategic manner.
Experience designing and deploying methodologies in many types of organizations
A predisposition to patience and tolerance.
Must be comfortable challenging change management scenarios, knowing when to insert yourself and when to fade back.
Must be extraordinarily articulate, persuasive, and comfortable interacting with all levels of customers, from line developer to C/VP level.
