The Surgical Sales Manager is responsible for driving new product (Prevena and/or Graftjacket) usage and adoption within inpatient and outpatient settings to achieve financial and strategic goals within an assigned territory. This role requires superior selling skills, combined with the ability to establish and maintain strong customer relationships at Hospitals, Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facilities and Wound Care Centers. This role is expected to engage in strategic business/account planning with the Access Director, presenting KCI products and services to help achieve optimum patient outcomes and grow existing new products revenue. The Surgical Sales Manager will be focused primarily on OR sales.
1. Drive KCI revenue by:
Employing selling skills to drive cross-facility adoption and usage of new products (Prevena/GraftJacket) to achieve financial and strategic goals
Developing and managing relationships with physicians in the OR setting and other key customer decision-makers who are capable of driving adoption/usage across the care continuum
Presenting and reinforcing KCI value proposition to differentiate KCI from competitive offerings
Establishing and driving usage protocols to optimize revenue for Prevena and GraftJacket products
2. Actively manage the sales territory by:
Developing a territory plan to prioritize account calls and activities
Partnering with the following KCI Sales team roles:
i. Strategic Account Manager: Develop a detailed strategy to capture revenue at Access accounts
ii. Territory Representative: Identify and communicate transition patients in a HIPAA-compliant manner
iii. District Clinical Specialist: Proactively coordinate activities with district resource for training and clinical support
3. Adhere to all KCI policies, procedures, and guidelines.
1. Complete essential business-tracking requirements by:
Maintaining sales call data by entering into designated KCI system (salesforce.com)
Completing required corporate and region reports within designated timeframes
As required, resolving account billing, inventory management, and contract renewal issues
Bachelor's degree (or in process of obtaining degree)
Minimum two years outside sales experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other healthcare sales management
Proficient with MS office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Minimum two years Operating Room sales experience
