This position reports to the Oconee Major Projects' Work Integration and Scheduling Manager (WISM). The Technical Support Supervisor is responsible for providing the major interface between the Major Projects' Work Integration and Scheduling (WIS) section and the Station Work Control group. This position will provide assistance to the WISM and be capable of fulfilling the WISM functions in their absence. Specific accountabilities include:
Foster a safety culture within the WIS group.
Provide resource direction, leadership and oversight for an organization of project planners, implementation schedulers and project coordinators.
Provide expertise to recognize and resolve complex schedule integration and Work Control interface issues and recognize when additional expertise or organizational involvement is required.
Provide support and leadership to meet site programmatic requirements for organizations such as PIP program requirements, self-assessments, job observations, training, etc.
Possess advance knowledge of the nuclear site work management processes.
Possess advance knowledge of nuclear site procedures and processes for all groups
Represents the Major Projects' organization at station and executive level outage reviews and critiques.
Takes ownership and is accountable for all actions
Communicates clearly for both internal and external communications
Assembles WIS team and sets goals on safety (environmental, radiological, nuclear, industrial), and provides measurable results.
Has ownership for overall progress of work order planning and scheduling.
Provide input for the development of on-line and outage schedules.
Depending upon the desired qualifications of the successful candidate, the hiring manager may elect to fill this position at a higher level within the job hierarchy.
Demonstrated ability to lead an organization toward a positive safety culture including a working knowledge of OSHA and Safe Work Practice standards.
Eight or more years craft supervisory/management experience.
Experience with station group interfaces required during project implementation (Operations, Maintenance, Work Control, RP, EHS, Chemistry, Site Services, Supply Chain).
Demonstrated effective communication skills with Management, Engineering, Operations, Maintenance and especially Craft Organizations.
Demonstrated Strong Command and Control skills
Strong accountability and ownership for products and services
Must have or be capable of obtaining Unescorted Access
Able to work extended hours as necessary
Demonstrated ability to maintain schedule while ensuring safety is top priority
Previous experience in supervising and managing large construction/maintenance implementation activities
Previous experience with engineering changes (modifications)
1. Experience with Modification Design and Implementation activities.
2. Craft management and construction experience with all disciplines of craft.
3. Experience with multiple project or program level organizations.
4. Duke Nuclear System experience
Oconee Nuclear Station experience in supervising maintenance or modification activities.
Familiar with LMS and Portal J processes
Familiar with Corrective Action Process (PIP)
Ability to work with suppliers, vendors and station personnel to facilitate common goals for success
