This position will work closely with the Medical Staff/Allied Health Quality Coordinator, the Medical Staff Quality Committee (MSQC), the Chief Medical Officer, Risk Management, and Clinical Analytics Department. The Medical Staff Quality Analyst (MSQA) will assist with the preparation of physician and allied health peer review activities and reports, as well as assist in performing initial and problem Focused Professional Practice Evaluations (FPPE). The position will also include review of the e-variance and Service Excellence Complaints. Performs additional duties as requested including attending and recording committee/department meetings. FULL TIME Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 40 Hours
Proficient in verbal and written communication and documentation. Develops and maintains relationships and effective communication with physicians and staff in order to facilitate problem indentification and resolution. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to use multiple databases and computer programs to perform detailed data analysis. Assist in the development of peer review tools and indicators for continual improvement in monitoring strategies and reporting mechanisms for Focused Professional Practice Evaluation.
Quality experience in an acute healthcare setting a plus. Experience in implementing-managing projects and initiating systemic review processes to assist the Medical Staff Quality Committee in evaluating and improving practitioner performance. Experience in researching variances and establishing interpersonal relationships to allow for effective dialog to assist in improvement in the healthcare system.
