Eveo, Inc. is looking for a Senior WebOps/Unix Systems Administrator to join our back-end team building and supporting high-availability web application environments and supporting network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
Build, configure and maintain centos linux servers

Deploy Ruby on Rails and Tomcat applications

Provision and maintain virtual machines using Citrix XenServer

Build configure and maintain MySQL server

Rack and provision physical servers in offsite datacenter

Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including but not limited to Cisco VPN concentrators, firewalls, switches and Kemp load balancers

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Minimum years of experience: 5+ years as a unix administrator in a 24/7 web-hosting environment

Education: BS or equivalent in relevant professional experience

Strong hands-on experience with:
o Environment creation, configuration and site reliability:
  • Linux (CentOS, Debian)
  • Provisioning/Configuration (Chef)
  • Build, Continuous Integration, Deployment support (Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Capistrano, SVN, Git)
o Virtualization technologies:
  • Xen, Citrix XenServer, VirtualBox
o Application and Development support:
  • Tomcat, Grails, Spring
  • Apache/nginx (mod_proxy, mod_jk)
  • Rails (Passenger, RVM, Bundler)
  • MySQL (Replication + NDBCluster)
  • Memcached
  • Flash Media Server
o Host/network services, protocols, and their implementations:
  • Cisco, Kemp and Dell network devices
  • VPN/IPSec/SSL/TLS
Solid understanding of network and data security concepts and best practices

Strong scripting skills (Bash, Ruby, etc.)

Manage multiple assigned project tasks in a strict deadline-driven environment

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in an environment that requires regular evaluation and negotiation of priorities

Must possess a high level of enthusiasm, a passion for technology, outstanding attention to detail and be a strong team player

Ability to thrive in a fluid and sometimes chaotic environment

Must be authorized to work in the US

This position requires working closely with a San Francisco based team. Only respond if you are located in the San Francisco Bay Area

Additional skills desired:
Experience monitoring and Data Analysis tools (Cacti, Nagios, Zabbix)

Experience with change management processes

Experience with capacity planning

Familiarity with HIPAA compliance

Experience working for Advertising and Marketing Agencies a plus
