The Regional Brand Manager leads the field leadership team in an assigned region in company Visual Merchandising and Selling strategies to positively impact a brand-right, consistent customer experience in all stores.
The Brand Manager works in conjunction with Store Operations, Marketing, L&OD and field partners to deliver excellence in execution of the Pac Sun brand Visual Merchandising, Marketing, and Selling directives.
Analyzes regional Sales and Inventory reporting. Leverages field, customer and competitive input to support and influence weekly merchant sales meeting.
Seasonally, actively participates in cross-functional seasonal merchandise reviews (HQ). Influences cross-functional leaders regarding on-garment, promotional, event, marketing, packaging, and presentation strategies that positively impact product productivity.
Seasonally, actively participates in major Seasonal Set walkthroughs (HQ) to ensure Visual, promotional and marketing strategies are effectively communicated and executed through field team.
Collaborates as a partner and a regional point of contact to the Pac Sun HQ Marketing team. Provides feedback, ideas and hindsight on current and future floor sets, tools and seasonal strategies. Provides visual merchandising solutions regarding current and future directives.
Leads company visual merchandising projects and creative initiatives as required or assigned by HQ Visual team, SVP, Retail, or Sr. Director, Brand Experience.
Develops and supports RD and DM capability, competency and accountability of all aspects of Visual Merchandising standards, Seasonal Set execution, and Selling standards.
Directs facilitation of region Maximize It! training workshops on seasonal set mapping, implementation, interpretation, standards. Directs facilitation of LOP and Start Selling workshops with field leadership to positively impact store management competencies and store KPI’s.
Ensures development of region Selling culture by initiating, sourcing, and supporting HQ Product Knowledge content (ipad videos, other) for company delivery.
Supports facilitation of Selling and Visual Merchandising agendas for company and regional meetings and conference calls.
Leads effective Store Visits with executives, RDs and DMs in assigned region, per company expectations.
Attends industry or trade shows as required to support visual merchandising strategies and execution. Is aware of and shops competition in all markets within region, assessing and communicating unique visual or selling cultures.
Manages calendar, project and administrative deadlines, and expense budget to company expectations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Visual Merchandising, or Business preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in the retail industry in a field or corporate
visual merchandising role (manager level or above), and/or multi-store supervisory role (district
manager level or above). Experience preferred with an industry-leading fashion specialty retailer.
Proven experience leading and developing a diverse team of leaders is required.
Merchandising Ability: Proven ability to create, direct, and interpret visual merchandising presentations to brand standards. External candidates will submit portfolio and lead store walkthroughs for evaluation.
Passion for brands and fashion: an affinity for product and proven experience supporting selling initiatives that drive results.
Assessing Skills and Talent: experience and ability to identify and assess senior level Talent to support the development and performance of field leaders. Participates as required in the talent selection and onboarding process of externally hired and internally promoted RDs, DMs and other Regional Brand Managers.
Communication: communicates effectively and appropriately, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of management and associates.
Influences others: proven ability to gain consensus and alignment with key stakeholders by building relationships, collaborating and influencing business partners. Proven experience leading, communicating and positively motivating executives, managers and junior associates in all areas of the business, corporate and field.
Business Acumen: Ability to analyze company sales and inventory reports and apply learning to visual merchandising and selling strategies. Can seek and use a broad knowledge of business and industry information; shares best practices, industry benchmarks and ideas.
Decision Making: Proven ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and make informed decisions. Proven ability to independently and pro-actively manage multiple projects and priorities.
Travel: Approximately 75% travel required.
List equipment to be operated, lifting requirements, crouching, bending, etc required by the job. Lifting in pounds should be clarified, stating the weight of objects that need to be lifted, such as “ability to lift objects weighing 35 pounds.” For most other positions, language like "operate normal office equipment," "ability to travel “or” extensive use of computer" are helpful.
