MAJOR JOB DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide training for all new personnel.
Schedule and assign duties to sales staff.
Solicit new business through cold calls, appointments, telemarketing and direct mail.
Sell and service existing accounts.
Work old files for potential re-bookings.
Help create, coordinate and develop programs to increase group overnight business.
Attend appropriate Trade Shows.
Become actively involved in associations that will generate business.
Conduct on-property site and familiarization tours with travel industry personnel.
Represent the property at public events as directed by management.
Work closely with the Las Vegas Visitors Bureau and the L.V.C.V.A. to develop leads.
Assist the Director of Sales as necessary.
Direct Sales staff in their daily routine.
Must provide courteous and friendly service to all staff and guests.
Perform related work as requested.

EXPERIENCE: 5 years related experience with some supervisory.
EDUCATION : Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent.
SKILLS: Good organizational skills. Excellent communication skills. Must enjoy working with the public and have excellent guest service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Must be able to type 35 wpm. Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well groomed manner. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and other departments. Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English. Must be computer literate, ability to supervise and willing to travel.
