Job Responsibilities
An Oak Express customer experience is different than any other furniture store. Our customers tell us we have created a friendly environment without high pressure. As a Sales Representative, you will be selling one of the largest selections of real wood furniture in popular up-to-date finishes that last. While sales and marketing are the keys to your Manager Trainee success, you will also:
Greet and assist customers ascertaining their furniture wants and needs and answering their questions
Consistently seek and understand new product information
Set and achieve personal sales goals
Provide customer service by presenting pricing, preparing sales contracts and processing transactions in POS & inventory systems
Place orders and locate stock
Maintain knowledge of current sales & promotions, policies regarding payment & exchanges & store security
Participate in non-selling functions such as light janitorial duties, merchandising and display
Many organizations let you sink or swim, but at Furniture Row, we provide you with 2 weeks of training at the store level with store managers. Once you’ve proven your ability to succeed, we then provide you with additional management training at our company headquarters in Denver.

To join the Furniture Row Oak Express team as a Manager Trainee you will need to be:
Willing to work non-traditional business hours including nights, weekends and holidays
Proficient in Point of Sales (POS) systems and Merchandise Inventory Systems (MIS)
Comfortable working with customers; customer service experience preferred, not required
Success at Furniture Row doesn’t have any one background or experience. Successful sales manager trainees have come from entry level, retail, marketing, customer service, hospitality, real estate, insurance, warehouse and food service positions, yet they all share a drive to succeed and the opportunity to be rewarded for their individual performance
