Overview: Responsible for assisting the Compensation Accounting Application Specialist in the ongoing validation and administration of the home office and field office web based payroll system (Ceridian HR/Payroll Web) including the validation of all input into and output from the payroll system. Responsible for other Compensation Accounting activities surrounding the payroll process including, but not limited to, deduction administration, garnishment administration and earnings reconciliation.

Shared Payroll Application Responsibilities

Field Office Compensation Responsibilities:
Import daily WRIPPS new hire/change/term file, including daily reconciliation between W&R's WRIPPS system & Ceridian.

Review the import of WRIPPS commission adjustment file every pay period to include a reconciliation of expected results.

Coordinate and apply other manual commission adjustment input from Compensation Accounting members to include proper documentation and reconciliation of daily and pay period manual activity.

Prepare, review, and transmit field office payroll twice a month which may require work outside of normal business hours.

Coordinate the preparation and distribution of necessary payroll reports to W&R personnel as well as necessary data files to W&R's MSD department as well as third party vendors.

Coordinate the creation and delivery of the general ledger file with every payroll cycle.

Home Office Payroll Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and transmit home office payroll twice a month.

Coordinate the preparation and distribution of necessary payroll reports to W&R personnel as well as necessary data files to W&R's MSD department as well as third party vendors.

Coordinate the creation and delivery of the general ledger file with every payroll cycle.

Other Compensation Accounting Payroll Responsibilities

Calculate and administer commission payments for variance Home Office Employees.

Reconcile miscellaneous compensation activity to the general ledger.

Administer debit balance and past due deduction process including the generation of notices and processing of payments.

Administer Field Office garnishments, including set up, reconciliation and necessary reporting.

Administer Field Office direct deposit, including maintenance within Ceridian payroll system.

Administer Field Office relocation, including generating reimbursement checks, reconciliation and necessary reporting.

Administer Field Office deductions, including E&O and Tech Fees.

Reconciliation of Field Office payroll activity facilitating monthly clearing journal entry.

Reconciliation on a monthly basis of Field Office 1099/W-2 earnings.

Create various payroll reports including, but not limited to, Field Office Cash Report and Field Office Checks Over $15k.

Administer audit of Field Office master data facilitating accurate tax jurisdiction set up within Ceridian payroll system.

Administer monthly Retiree Bank Draft and Quarterly State Tax Payments using Maxxus.

Required Skills

Requirements:
Ÿ Bachelor Degree preferred, 5 years of professional payroll experience required. FPC or CPP a plus.

Ÿ Analytical and troubleshooting experience with Ceridian HR/Payroll Web system or other payroll system required.

Strong PC skills using Advanced Excel and systems technology a plus. Experience with Ceridian HR/Payroll Web system or other payroll system required.

Ÿ Strong interpersonal skills. Must be a flexible and dependable team player and promote this attitude within the department. Willing to take on additional duties as assigned.

Ÿ Quality conscious in work performance. Well organized and skilled in prioritizing, including strong multitasking skills with ability to meet various deadlines throughout the pay period.
