The Technical Specialist will serve as the key resource in-house expert on all electronic and utility systems within the Chattanooga factory. The incumbent will provide technical support in resolving issues - assistance in problem solving and troubleshooting as necessary to resolve problems which fall within the scope of the factory's Engineering and Maintenance Departments. The incumbent will work closely with Engineering and Maintenance leadership on identifying and implementing the latest technologies, promote innovation, identify opportunities for improvement and have input in standardization of this equipment. The Technical Specialist will control the site calibrations and will create and modify departmental work instructions. The Technical Specialist will work with Electronics Technicians and Facility Technicians to provide the Chattanooga factory with the resources to maximize equipment availability and product quality and ensure the reliability of the site utilities. The Technical Specialist will lead the energy reduction programs on site by identification of utility losses and implementation of projects and systems to correct the losses and improve efficiency. The Technical Specialist will ensure that the assigned work orders for the group are completed within the time scales laid out by the maintenance planners.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Demonstrated proficiency in conceptual thinking and mechanical and electrical – controls troubleshooting
Ability to assume a leadership role in project development and execution as is often required
Ability to meet physical requirements of the job, e.g.: Able and willing to climb.
Work at high temperatures.
Work in awkward and uncomfortable positions.

Must be flexible to work on rotating shifts and work overtime as required.
