Performs skilled secretarial, varied clerical, and routine administrative support functions for department management and other members of the department as needed. Case Management: Works with case managers to obtain insurance authorizations, order equipment, arrange transportation, set up outpatient services, or facilitate the transfer of the patient to another level of care upon discharge from the hospital. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance requirements. Extracts data, prepares detailed reports, and ensures timelines and critical follow up are conducted to meet requirements. Screens calls and provides basic information alerting manager of any issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of secretarial, administrative support or office management experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Departments Cardiac Rehabilitation and Employee Health require current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
