This position will serve as a member of the Robinson Nuclear Plant Major Projects Design Engineering Mechanical and Civil Group. However, due to the nature of this position, the individual will also provide drafting and design technician support to all of Major Projects Design Engineering, including I&C and Electrical Engineering. This position is responsible for work on moderately complex projects and with mentoring advancing to more complex projects with minimal supervision. Works directly with clients, primarily field and in-house engineers, and may recommend design changes. This position may convert conceptual data into detailed data as requested by clients. The position will require frequent interface with Major Projects Design Engineering staff preparing drawings and providing other design support services.

Depending upon the desired qualifications of the successful candidate, the hiring manager may elect to fill this position at a higher level within the job hierarchy.

Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
· Associates Degree in Drafting Design from an accredited School
· 5 or more years experience as a drafter/designer
· 2 or more years experience using Microstation
· Drafting/Design experience supporting a Nuclear Station
Desired Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of nuclear station systems, processes, and procedures.
• Ability to interface with Engineering staff, preparing drawings and providing other design support services.
• Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to understand and address customer needs
Working Conditions:
• Subject to callouts and required to be available to respond as needed including weekends and holidays.
• Subject to work in all areas of a nuclear generation facility with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and radiation.
• Required to access plant areas where it may be required to climb ladders, stoop, bend, and/or crawl.
• Emergency Response Organization Duty rotation may be required.
• Normal work schedule is Monday - Thursday, 10 hr/day.
• Some travel back and forth to external offices may be required.
