Sikorsky Global Helicopters has an opening for a summer intern for its Coatesville, PA facility. Located one hour west of Philadelphia, PA, the Coatesville plant manufactures and sells commercial helicopters to customers around the world. This position will be from Mid-May to Mid (`3 Late August depending on the school schedule of the selected candidate. Responsibilities/Deliverables:
Upon completion Intern will be able to:
(a2Review and interpret systems specifications.

(a2Work in an Integrated Design Team environment, analyze product/system design apply knowledge of technology and materials to ensure a design that considers; functionality, appearance, FAA compliance, availability, safety, and cost.

(a2Accomplish tasks within assigned project time frame and time budget.

(a2Create technical analysis reports and test plans: System Safety Analysis, electrical load analysis, EMI/RFI test plans/reports, System Installation Evaluations, Functional Hazard Assessments, Failure Modes and Effect Analysis, Functional Ground Test Plans/Reports, Configuration Documents, and other documents as required by the Manager.

(a2Generate engineering reports to show compliance with the FAA regulations for part 23, 25, 27 & 29 to support aircraft modifications.

  • Rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior in accredited 4 year degree program pursuing
  • Accredited Engineering Degree, all disciplines considered, electrical a plus
Strong communication skills (`3 written and verbal;

Results oriented demonstrated by past accomplishments

Ability to multi-task

Creative problem solving and analytical skills

Excellent computer and Internet research skills - Microsoft Office a must

CAD experience a plus

Database skills a plus

Candidates will have strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate motivation and aptitude to transition into the commercial aviation industry.
