The Natural and Historical Resources Division of the Department of Parks and Recreation has programs and facilities located throughout the County that focus on the many fields of history and/or historic preservation. The following positions require excellent customer service, telephone, and computer skills, as well as the ability to work with a diverse public. These facilities operate 5-7 days a week so candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends. Specialized knowledge and experience in acrchaelology, Native American history, historic preservation, African American history, aviation history, historic interpretation, museum programming and education, collections, research, pre-history or paleontology may be required, depending on the site/program. A valid driver's license is also required.

History/Museum Program Coordinator (Program/Facility Mgr. Aide II/III)- $8.02/hr-$14.36/hr
Assist full-time staff with planning, coordinating, and staffing; education, programs and activities; tours, special events, scout and school-related programs; off-site education programs, research; development of interpretive, website and marketing materials; supervision of other staff or volunteers.
History/Museum Program Assistant (Program/Facility Mgr. Aide I/II)- $7.40/hr-$12.43/hr
Conducts tours, educational and scout programs; staff special events, museum programs, activities, and off-site programming; give tours and talks; work with the public, staff, and volunteers; staff the front desk and gift shop; meet and greet the public; assist with set-up/tear down of events and programs; cash handling; computerized admission and programs.
History/Museum Evening/Weekend Manager (Program/Facility Mgr. Aide III)- $9.26/hr-$14.37/hr
Supervise and staff history/museum facility, programs, and rentals on weekends and/or evenings; greet and assist public; conduct tours and programs; provide information; handle safety and maintenance concerns/paperwork; work with vendors/contractors, cash handling; setup/tear down of events and programs; computerized admissions and programs; supervision of staff and volunteers; opening and closing of facility.
History/Museum Customer Service Representative (Program/Facility Aide I/II/III) - $7.25/hr-$10.72/hr
Meet and greet visitors; staff front desk and gift shop and handle revenue; operate computerized programs for admission, programs, rentals, gift shop sales; give tours and assist with programs.
These positions do not qualify for benefits.
