GM’s Enterprise Solutions Test Center (ESTC) team is responsible for providing the testing and certification environments to assist development teams. The structured solutions for preparing and certifying development applications are the core focus of the Test Center team. This team ensures complete compatibility for deployment into the production data centers for applications. Utilizing a host of skills in multiple areas of technology and knowledge is another example of how GM is breaking down the walls of conventional technological thinking.

About the role:
The Weblogic Administrator works as a member of the Test Center team responsible for the design and implementation, configuration and administration of Oracle Weblogic servers implemented on GM Standard platforms (Windows, Suse Linux and Sun Solaris). The Weblogic Administrator will handle all integration tasks while working closely with both Unix/Windows system administrators, Database Administrators, and GM Architects. This role will ensure proper configuration of the Weblogic software in relation to each application (Custom development or COTS). The Weblogic Administrator will also be responsible for documentation and support of processes involving application installation and patching, performance improvement, availability of business server platforms, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology related discipline or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience working in a UNIX and Windows environment.
- At least 3 years of experience in installation, configuration, and administration of Oracle WebLogic Server.
- At least 3 years of experience in supporting java and J2EE applications deployed in multi-platform environment.
- Experience with both VMware and high-availability architecture.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle Certified Associate (OCA)
- Oracle WebLogic Server 11g System Administrator or equivalent
