Description
PDS Tech, Inc. has long term opening in Santa Clarita, CA for Design Engineer with CATIA V5 experience.
Must have CATIA V5 experience designing mechanical component from concept to production.
Responsibilities include preliminary design preparation, design layout, evaluation and analysis, component and assembly modeling, drawing preparation and release, prototype manufacture coordination and administrative duties for race engine components including scheduling & reporting to management with a limited amount of supervision.
Must have:
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to identify true root causes.
Create innovative design concepts based on sound engineering principles
Accurately apply engineering theories to design layouts and drawings
Augment technical knowledge by seeking information outside area of expertise
Communicate effectively.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience designing engine and chassis components in 2 and 3 dimension software modeling in automotive racing industry. Hands on experience with internal combustion race engines and related electronic and mechanical systems
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and standard codes and knowledge of technical drawing and data analysis are preferred
Proficient with PC workstation hardware and CATIA V5 Software.
This position may require you to submit to and pass a drug test and/or background check.
If this is a hands-on position, you may also be required to pass a safety and productivity examination.
