The LED Development Engineer will execute the product and technology roadmap of High Brightness RGB light-emitting devices. Following the New Product Introduction protocol, the LED Engineer will define and manage experimental builds and Designs of Experiments, analyze data, produce summary reports and will interact with the Engineering and Operations organizations to support timely release of new products and process enhancement to mass production. Additional responsibilities will include maintaining and tracking project development schedules, coordinating and tracking experimental builds in wafer fabrication and assembly areas, testing devices and analyzing resulting data, and producing internal summary reports.
Qualified candidates will possess the following: B.S. in a technical field such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or computer science, 2 to 5 years relevant experience in the component or semiconductor industry (hands on experience desirable), understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes (photolithography, etching, thin film and metal deposition). Also important are a demonstrated ability to plan and execute projects on very tight schedules, and experience with data analysis, design of experiments, and database queries (familiarity with JMP software is a plus). Exposure to New Product Introduction methodology a plus.
