DUTIES: This position is for a fully trained Board Certified or Board Eligible neurologist. The physician will be a member of Medical Service working in the Neurology Section and participate in patient care and teaching activities as assigned. The staff neurologist will participate in neurology inpatient consults, neurology clinic and call. The neurologist will contribute to the achievement of quality care standards, write orders for diagnostic testing, prescribe medications, consult with specialty services and utilize computerized/electronic medical records. The physician will provide both inpatient and outpatient care in accordance with professional standards, core values and commitment to service excellence. Additionally, the neurologist will be experienced in performing/interpreting EMGs, EEGs and have interests in SCI, dementia, movement disorders and neuromuscular diseases. Physical Standards: Applicants must meet physical standards for the position. A physical examination prior to placement is required. This is a designated drug testing position.
