Manages the provision of nursing care to the orthopedic fractures/trauma, joint replacement, and spine patient in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act and established policies, procedures and protocols of the St.Vincent Indianapolis Regional Hospitals.
Assesses the patient in a systematic and organized manner.
Formulates nursing diagnoses and develops plan of care.
Initiates nursing actions and implements strategies to maximize patient outcomes.
Delegates, supervises and/or collaborates with other members of the health care team in the delivery of safe and effective nursing care.
Evaluates status of interventions and patient goals for the purpose of reassessment, revision of plan of care and discharge planning.
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
Current Indiana license as an RN and BLS Healthcare Provider prior to start.
Orthopedic Nurse, Certified (ONC) preferred
Hospital experience preferred.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, the ability take appropriate action and to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Full Time, Days. 12 hour shifts, 3 days per week, 0700-1930. Every 3rd weekend rotation
