This is a full-time, initially one year, position for a Research and Data Analyst working on a large, nationally funded study (INSPIRE) designed to understand how colds or respiratory viruses in the first year of life affect future childhood health. This position requires knowledge of clinical or epidemiologic research methods, databases, some programming experience, basic biostatistical knowledge and ability to run analyses and data queries, data cleaning expertise, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: |
• Assist database manager
• Perform basic analyses and queries for data checking and cleaning.
• Develop and implement strategies to clean data elements
• Develop plan to help prevent common data acquisition or entry errors in the future
• Provide input into the development of new case report forms
• Develop strategies for data audits and process improvement
Bachelor's Degree and clinical or epidemiologic research experience is required. MPH degree or other training is desirable. Experience with databases, basic biostatistical analyses, data cleaning, and auditing are highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are important. A high level of professionalism in regards to privacy and confidentiality of collected data, participant information, and study protocols is essential.
