Position is responsible for providing the necessary leadership and development for Design technical staff to interpret and design engineered components and panels from architectural prints to produce placement layouts and engineered truss drawings. Manages design related tasks efficiently. Mentors designers to improve communication skills. Check designer's work to assure accurate and quality designs are produced to satisfy customer's needs.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reports, technical procedures and /or gov-ernment regulations; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, dia-gram or schedule form.
Fifth year College or University program certificate; or 3 to 5 years specific experience and/or training related to the essential functions of the job; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer knowledge of: Design Software, Word Processing Software, Data Base Software
