Job Summary

The University of St. Thomas, Center for Business Excellence, the executive education unit within the Opus College of Business, is seeking candidates for an Administrative Assistant II.

This position supports the executive-education and professional-development programs delivered through the Center for Business Excellence ( CBE ).

The Administrative Assistant II responsibilities include providing both in-person and phone service (including inbound and outbound calls) to CBE's customers seeking information about the Center's programs and services; administering and coordinating the Center's process for contracting with instructors for delivery of CBE's educational programs including, creating contracts, route approval and e-signature process with EchoSign, sending, receiving, and keeping contract records; arranging meetings; coordinating travel; composing and producing documents; preparing and processing various University forms; ordering office supplies; serving as a liaison with key University service units.


Qualifications: High school education or equivalent and 2 years of relevant or comparable administrative support experience.

We are looking for candidates with a proficiency in Microsoft Office; competency with computer and web applications; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and customer service focus; aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail; professional and pleasant manner; ability to work on several projects simultaneously, balance priorities, and meet deadlines; ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to communicate in a positive and consultative manner with prospective program participants is essential.
