The County of Riverside Department of Mental Health has a wonderful
opportunity for a Mental Health Service Supervisor-B for an integrated health program..
The qualified candidate will have one of the following:
California License – LCSW or MFT
Option PhD with Psych Experience
Option MS in Nursing with Psych Experience
Required Experience: (Minimum 2 years)
Supervision
Counseling with Mentally Ill Adults
Developing Partnerships with Primary Health Services
Computer Literacy – MS Word and Excel
Training Experience
Monitoring Client Services
General Guidelines:
Under general direction, to plan, organize, and direct the activities of one or more functional units within a regional or major mental health services program; to assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of multidisciplinary professional staff and support personnel engaged in planning and providing a variety of mental health services to individuals, groups, and to the community; and to do other work as required.
Positions in this class are first-line supervisors in charge of one or more functional units and are responsible for implementing specialized mental health services for adults, children, or adolescents within an assigned program and/or geographic area. Incumbents are responsible for maintaining the quality of staff performance and workload standards. This class is distinguished from the Mental Health Services Manager in that the latter class is responsible for the management of a comprehensive regional services program or a major countywide program.
The Mental Health Service Supervisor-B positions are distinguished from Mental Health Service Supervisor-A positions by additional responsibility for conducting and supervising work requiring an advanced knowledge of psychological diagnostic and treatment methods including projective techniques and psychological tests.
