DUTIES:
The WJB Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Columbia, SC is seeking 2 Nephrologists to work in our Renal Clinic withint the Medicine Service. Duties would include, but are not limited to inpatient consult service, outpatient clinic, acute/chronic hemodialysis unit, and transplant.
Preferred Experience: Board certification in Renal/Nephrology medicine.
Salary: Salary based on the qualifications and expertise of the applicant selected. Grade & Salary will be recommended by a Professional Standards Board of Peers.
Columbia is the geographic center of South Carolina, with easy access to mountains (two hours west) and nationally recognized beach resorts (two hours east). Columbia boasts a nationally acclaimed library system, highly rated schools, and many outstanding golf courses. Big time college sports abound with two major schools - the University of South Carolina, Columbia, in the Southeastern Conference and Clemson University, Clemson, Atlantic Coast Conference (two hours away). Professional sports NFL Carolina Panthers and NBA Charlotte Bobcats are less than 1 ½ hours north.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia. The physician must maintain current registration in the State of licensure if this is a requirement for continuing active, current licensure. The facility Director may waive this licensure requirement if the physician is to serve in a country other than the United States and the physician has licensure in that country.
Proficient in spoken and written English.
