Position Description
Work with the software team that drives the world's foremost attack helicopter, the AH-64D Apache Longbow. An internship opportunity for a college student enrolled in an electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering or related degree program. Work on software development related tasks with primary focus on testing embedded, real-time avionics software and modifying test programs written in Java or C. Software code being tested primarily written in Ada, C, assembly, and potentially some Java. Host development environment using SUN Solaris. Work on a team of highly skilled and motivated professional engineers. Be a member of The Boeing Company, one of the most highly respected companies in the world.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration

This position requires that you work out of Mesa, Arizona. Do you currently reside in the Mesa, Arizona area (where relocating would not be required) or are you willing to relocate at your own expense and still be able to maintain your student status?

Are you a sophomore or higher level student enrolled full time in a college or university working toward an electrical engineering, computer science, or software engineering related degree?

Do you have education/training and/or work experience in any of the following software development languages: C, Java, or Ada?

Do you have education/training and/or work experience using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint)?

Typical Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED.

Clearly state your cumulative GPA and expected month/year of graduation on your resume. Prefer minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale; knowledge of Ada, C, C++, or Java; familiar with Windows and Unix. Available to work 20 hours per week during school year and 40 hours per week during summer.
